Sri Lanka, Dec. 8 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said the opposition will keep an eye on whether the people will actually receive the aid promised by the Government.

The Opposition Leader said that the maximum relief and assistance should be provided to the people, and that direct assistance should be provided for building houses, taking care of children, generating income and livelihoods. "Even though assistance has been promised to clean houses, people are yet to receive them," he added.

The Opposition Leader said that in such a situation, those who are entitled to receive aid are not receiving it, so the Government should pay attention to this.
