Sri Lanka, Aug. 5 -- A group of high-level Japanese investors met with Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody at the Ministry of Energy to discuss investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the modernization and development of the electricity transmission system.
The investors specifically informed the Minister about the delays and problems in the process of obtaining permits from state institutions when implementing development projects in the country and then the Minister responded that the government has identified those problems and has taken necessary steps to resolve them in the future.
