Sri Lanka, April 11 -- In a major step toward enhancing Sri Lanka's digital services, GovPay - the national digital payment gateway for government services - has partnered with the Sri Lanka Police Department to launch a pilot project enabling online payment of traffic fines.

The pilot program, which begins today (11) and runs through April 30, will cover key roads in Kurunegala, Doratiyawa, Melsiripura, Gokarella, Galewela, Dambulla, Madatugama, Maradankadawala, Kekirawa, Thirippane, Kawarekkulama, and Anuradhapura, according to the Ministry of Digital Economy.
