Srilanka, Feb. 18 -- The Ministry of Digital Economy has announced plans to extend GovPay payment services to 30 additional government institutions starting in April 2025.
Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne stated that GovPay is already operational for 15 government institutions, with transaction volumes surpassing 300,000 on February 14 alone.
He also highlighted the growing public adoption of the platform, noting that several other government institutions have expressed interest in integrating GovPay for digital transactions.
