Srilanka, March 27 -- Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, yesterday said that the resolution to remove Deshabandu Tennakoon as the IGP will be presented and approved during the next Parliamentary session. He also said investigations are also underway to apprehend individuals who aided Tennakoon in several crimes.
Speaking at Cabinet decision briefing yesterday (26), he said that the Removal of Officers (Procedure) Act No.5 of 2002 outlines the procedure that needs to be followed for the removal of IGP and the Attorney General.
