Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- Steps are being taken to distribute sanitary napkins to over one million schoolgirls across the island from 2026, the Education Ministry said.
A discussion on the hygiene and health needs of schoolgirls was held yesterday (22) at the Education Ministry premises in Isurupaya, under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Madura Seneviratne.
