Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced the establishment of a national operations center to tackle drug trafficking, bringing together the police, military, customs, the Department of Immigration and Emigration, the Department of Motor Traffic, and intelligence services.
The President made the announcement while participating in the ongoing "Ratama Ekata" national operation program at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo. He added that authorities have information about the countries and locations where drug traffickers operate abroad and called on them to halt their activities and surrender.
