Srilanka, Feb. 27 -- A discussion aimed at identifying short-term and long-term solutions to mitigate the human-elephant conflict in the Monaragala district was held yesterday (26) at the Wellawaya Divisional Secretariat. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Environment Anton Jayakody and Deputy Minister of Trade, Commerce, and Food Security R.M. Jayawardena.

The discussion brought together government officials, local villagers, and other stakeholders to explore practical and scientific measures to address the escalating issue.
