Sri Lanka, Feb. 8 -- The Private Member's Motion presented by New Democratic Front MP Ravi Karunanayake to do away with the pensions of MPs and Ministers saw its passage in Parliament yesterday with the concurrence of both Government and the Opposition.
Four MPs expressed their views during the debate on the motion. Tabling the Motion, MP Karunanayake stated that he brought this Motion to restore public confidence on MPs and entire Parliamentary proceedings," he said.
