Sri Lanka, Dec. 16 -- The government has decided to grant special leave to state officials who were unable to report to work due to floods, landslides, and road blockages caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government issued a circular to all Ministry Secretaries, Provincial Chief Secretaries, and Heads of Departments, outlining the procedure for availing this leave.

Officials affected by disruptions to public transport or other disaster-related conditions between their residence and workplace during November and December 2025 are eligible for the special leave.
