Srilanka, Feb. 20 -- In a significant move to enhance public service delivery and ensure ethical governance, the government has decided to establish Internal Affairs Units across all government institutions. The initiative, spearheaded by the Secretary to the President, Dr. N.S. Kumanayake, aims to foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the public sector.
The primary objective of these units is to prevent corruption, promote ethical governance, and ensure effective law enforcement in collaboration with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
