Sri Lanka, Nov. 6 -- The Government is committed to eliminating the two fatal forces - drug menace and corruption, Justice and Naitional Integration Minister Harshana Nanayakkara said.
The prison system must be transformed from a place of punishment into a "school of transformation" that gives inmates a second chance at life, Nanayakkara said.
He made these remarks at the passing-out ceremony of the 104-B batch of 177 prison officers (168 male and 9 female) at the Angunakolapelessa Prison yesterday (5).
