Sri Lanka, Feb. 17 -- The Cabinet has approved a strategic move to accelerate the 'Communication to Villages' national project, aiming to achieve 100% 4G broadband coverage across the island.

The initiative specifically targets "black zones" and areas with weak signals to ensure every citizen has access to high-speed digital services.

Launched in 2021 by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL), the project operates through a cost-sharing model with mobile service providers to build essential tower infrastructure.Sri Lanka travel
