Sri Lanka, Dec. 15 -- Google announced the rollout of a beta feature that allows users to hear real-time translations through headphones, as the company steps up efforts to enhance its translation and language-learning services. The new feature, powered by Google's Gemini technology, supports more than 70 languages, including Sinhala, Spanish, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, and German.

The update brings advanced, context-aware translations to both text and speech. With Gemini, Google Translate now provides more natural and accurate translations of idioms, local expressions, and slang, moving beyond literal, word-for-word translations.
