Sri Lanka, Jan. 28 -- Cabinet Spokesman and Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa urged all doctors not to participate in the trade union action initiated by the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA).

He added that this trade union action was launched by a very small group within the GMOA.

He further stated that, considering the country's current economic situation, the Government has taken every possible step to provide financial benefits to state employees, including doctors, and described the ongoing strike as highly unfair.
