Srilanka, March 12 -- The strike initiated by the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) in response to the rape of a female doctor has been extended until 8 AM tomorrow, March 13.

In a statement to the media, GMOA Secretary Sugath Sugathadasa confirmed that the strike, which began at 8 AM today, will continue for 24 hours. He emphasized the association's firm stance against such crimes, condemning the incident and its impact. The GMOA remains resolute in its demand for justice and a safer environment for medical professionals.
