Sri Lanka, Nov. 25 -- The Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) has given authorities 48 hours to announce solutions to the issues facing medical professionals and the healthcare system, warning that trade union action could follow if no response is received.
In a statement issued yesterday (24), GMOA Secretary Dr. Prabath Sugathadasa said that if a specific, time-bound set of solutions is not presented within the 48-hour timeframe, the association will hold a Central Executive Committee meeting on November 26 to decide on trade union action.
