Srilanka, March 17 -- Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath told Parliament that in the future, free visa facilities will be provided to foreign citizens of several more countries to enter the country.

The Minister said that free visa facilities have been provided to 39 countries so far and that it has been decided to provide the facility to several more countries in the future.

He said this on Saturday (15) during the 2025 Appropriation Bill Committee stage debate on expenditure heads for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.
