Sri Lanka, March 13 -- The case filed against former Environment Minister Keheliya Rambukwella for allegedly causing an unlawful loss to the Government by misusing public funds belonging to the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) by purchasing 600 GI pipes, was yesterday fixed for April 7 by the Colombo High Court.

The case was taken up before Colombo HC Judge Navaratne Marasinghe.

At a previous occasion defence raised a preliminary objection stating that the charges cannot be pursued further against the accused. Delivering the order regarding the preliminary objections, the Colombo HC yesterday ordered to reject the preliminary objections and ordered to fix the case for trial.
