Sri Lanka, Dec. 21 -- France will offer loans and technical assistance to the tune of Euro 400 million in the next three years, said Country Director, Sri Lanka French Agency for Development (AFD group) Reda Souirgi.

These are mainly towards the development of fisheries, green power, irrigation, and tea production sectors.

This lending portfolio to Sri Lanka also includes around Euro 270 million provided to SME and Micro development through leading banks. These soft loans with less than 2% to the government of Sri Lanka and are provided with 7-year grace and 25 repayment period.

The group, one of the top bilateral development financial institutions in Sri Lanka, has approved more than USD 1 billion of financing for the last 10 years. D...
