Sri Lanka, July 11 -- A Fundamental Rights petition filed on behalf of Attorney-at-Law Hejaz Hisbullah, who has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over an allegation that he had close links with the Easter Sunday suicide bombers was yesterday fixed for further submissions by the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court Bench comprised Justice L.T.B. Dehideniya, Justice Preethi Padman Surasena and Justice Gamini Amarasekera fixed the petition for further submissions to be resumed on July 22.

President's Counsel Faiz Musthapha appearing on behalf of the petitioner yesterday commenced his oral submissions. He will resume his further submissions on the next day as well.
