Sri Lanka, Nov. 6 -- Chilaw police recovered the bodies of four individuals who had gone missing after drowning in the Deduru-Oya, and a search is going on to locate the remaining individuals. The victims were part of a group that had traveled to the Munneswaram temple in Chilaw and the Thalawila shrine from Kiribathgoda.

They were aged between 13 and 14 years. The incident occurred while they were swimming in the Deduru Oya near the Deduru Oya bridge on the Chilaw- Puttalam road. According to police, ten individuals from the group had entered the water, and some ventured into deeper areas, claiming that the water was shallow.
