Sri Lanka, Nov. 20 -- Deputy Labour Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe told Parliament yesterday that the Government plans to amend 14 existing labour laws and introduce four new bills as part of a major labour law reform initiative considering modern labour standards and working conditions.

The reforms aim to modernise regulations, strengthen worker protections, and align Sri Lanka's labour standards with international best practices, with specific focus on issues like women's night work and termination insurance.Sri Lanka Travel Guide
