Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- The Jaffna University has suspended four senior students for alleged sexual harassment of several first-year students using online platforms.

The suspension of students was announced yesterday by University authorities at a press briefing in Jaffna. The students are attached to the Management Faculty.

"Some first-year students had complained to officials of allege online sexual harassment by some senior students, and on suspicion, these students were suspended," University sources said.

A police complaint was lodged with the Kopai Police yesterday and Police are acting upon the complaint.

The students were suspended from attending classes, soon as the matter had reached the officials.
