SRILANKA, Dec. 4 -- Former St. Peter's College and S. Thomas' College cricketer Rohan Seneviratne passed away yesterday after a brief illness.

He started his cricket journey in 1974 with St. Peter's College and went on to play for S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia, in 1975. As a Thomian coloursman, he also featured in that year's Battle of the Blues.

Rohan was the son of the late Errol Seneviratne, the legendary cricket umpire, and the brother of the famous fashion designer Shamini Seneviratne. His remains will be at a private funeral parlour in Oruwala, Athurugiriya. The burial will take place at the Oruwala Cemetery at 1.00 pm
