Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- Priyantha Mayadunne, a former secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, was arrested today (30).

This was by the Criminal Investigation Department.

Police Media Spokesperson Buddhika Manatunga stated that he was arrested in the Piliyandala area in connection with a fraud that occurred in 2011.

He has held the position of secretary in a number of ministries and has also served as a secretary in the ministries of Public Administration, Highways and Justice.
