Srilanka, July 1 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has arrested former Commissioner General of the Department of Motor Traffic, Nishantha Weerasinghe, in connection with corruption-related charges.

The arrest is part of a broader investigation into suspected irregularities and misconduct that allegedly occurred during his term in office. CIABOC is continuing its inquiries into the matter.
