Former Public Administration Ministry Secretary Priyantha Kumara Mayadunne was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID)yesterday (30).

Mayadunne has been released on bail on a surety bond of Rs.200,000 after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate's Court yesterday (30).

Police Media Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga said that the CID had arrested Mayadunne for spending Rs. 183 million from the Cooperative Fund for the Isuru Saviya celebration held in Kurunegala in 2011 to mark the International Cooperative Day.
