Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Chamithri Jayanika Rambukwella, the elder daughter of former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, was arrested today (06) by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
The arrest was made in connection with a money laundering investigation amounting to LKR 300 lakh.
Earlier, in 2025, Chamithri Rambukwella, her sister Amali Rambukwella, and her husband, Isuru Pulasthi Bandara, were arrested by CIABOC under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The arrests were part of an investigation into undeclared assets valued at nearly Rs. 134 million, including a residential property and motor vehicles.The trio was later released on bail.
