Sri Lanka, Jan. 23 -- Sri Lanka's inconsistent policy on addressing alleged human rights violations was exposed when former Minister Tilak Marapana told the Human Rights Council in Geneva that the government would not agree to some of the provisions in resolution 30/1 and 30/4, co-government spokesperson Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.

"Our stance has never changed from the one we maintained when this government was in power," he said. "We will remain so even during the next session. However the former government's inconsistency was exposed when the former Minister Marapana was not in agreement to some of the provisions in the resolution that was passed."
