Srilanka, March 18 -- Renowned Sri Lankan actress and model Akushla Sellayah has passed away at the age of 67.

She made her film debut in 1978 with the Italian film Slave of the Cannibal God and went on to star in several Sinhala and international films, including Rampage (1978), Tarzan the Ape Man (Hollywood, 1981), Thawalama (1981), Bandura Mal (1981), Ra Manamali (1982), and Hithath Hondayi Wedath Hondayi (1983).

Her career reached its peak in 1985 when she played a leading role in Sura Duthiyo, the Sinhala adaptation of Charlie's Angels, directed by veteran action star Robin Fernando.
