Sri Lanka, Sept. 7 -- A fire has broken out on land managed by the Forest Conservation Department in the Kongasthenna Grama Niladhari Division, situated along the border of the Weligepola and Balangoda Divisional Secretariats in Ratnapura, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reported.
Efforts are underway to contain the blaze, with police seeking support from the Kapugala Army Camp and Forestry Officers to bring the situation under control.
