Sri Lanka, Dec. 3 -- The Kaduwela-Battaramulla road, which had been temporarily closed due to flooding, was reopened to traffic this morning, police said.

According to the Police Media Division, the road was closed over the past few days as heavy rainfall left Kaduwela town completely submerged.

Meanwhile, the Athurugiriya entrance, which was also inaccessible due to the adverse weather conditions, was reopened yesterday (02). Authorities said the entrance can now be used to facilitate travel.
