Srilanka, March 5 -- Gamma Interpharm (Pvt) Ltd. launched Glyclapan MR 60, the first clinically proven Gliclazide Modified-Release 60mg tablet in Sri Lanka, marking a milestone in local diabetes care on Monday.

The event was attended by medical professionals, key stakeholders and other guests.

The Bioequivalence (BE) study was conducted at Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), confirming its therapeutic equivalence to the innovator brand.

The study was carried out by Sri Lankans, on Sri Lankans, ensuring that Glyclapan MR 60 is well-suited for the physiological profiles and healthcare needs of the local population, Chairman and Managing Director of the company Kalana Hewamallika said.
