Srilanka, May 20 -- A gold-plated T56 firearm has been taken into police custody following a tip-off from a security officer at the Havelock City housing complex.
According to the police, the officer reported seeing a woman carrying what appeared to be a T56 firearm into her residence. The firearm was spotted in a bag while the back door of her vehicle was open, prompting the officer to alert the authorities.
Officers from the Wellawatte Police promptly arrived at the scene, conducted a search of the residence, and recovered the firearm. The woman in question has been identified as a 67-year-old resident of the complex.
