Sri Lanka, Feb. 7 -- A fire erupted on the 35th floor of the abandoned Krrish building site in Colombo last night (06).

The fire brigade said that three fire trucks were deployed to douse the fire.

Extinguishing the fire was challenging due to a malfunctioning elevator, forcing firefighters to manually climb the 35 floors while carrying fire extinguishers. Additionally, it was noted that there were no safety officers or technicians present at the Krrish building site.

The cause of the fire was not determined, according to the fire brigade officials.
