Srilanka, May 5 -- The Election Commission has confirmed that all preparations are complete for the upcoming local government elections.

This morning (May 5), the transportation of ballot boxes from district offices to main distribution centers commenced. Simultaneously, arrangements at polling stations across the country also began.

Voting is scheduled to take place tomorrow, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at 13,759 polling centers islandwide. The ballot boxes will be distributed from the main centers to the polling stations throughout the day to ensure readiness.
