Srilanka, April 8 -- A fatal shooting occurred today in the 18th Post area of Seeduwa, Katunayake, near a hotel.

Police suspect the incident was the result of a dispute between two underworld gangs.

The victim, who sustained critical injuries in the shooting, was rushed to the Negombo Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, according to hospital sources.

Investigations are ongoing.
