Sri Lanka, April 8 -- The Kandy police are conducting investigations to arrest the suspects involved in the beating to death of a person in the premises of the Diyakapanathota Buddhist temple in Getambe, Kandy.

Police had found the body of the deceased an ex-army soldier named Chamila Sudheera Ratnayake (43), a resident of Menikhinna, in the garage of the temple. He is alleged to have tried to rob the temple till. Police found a motorcycle and a helmet with a sticker "police" pasted on it in the garage. Police suspect the deceased had used the motorcycle to come to the temple.
