Srilanka, April 29 -- L. A. Wimalaratne, the former Deputy Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The arrest is linked to an ongoing investigation into a house in Kataragama that is allegedly connected to the Rajapaksa family. Further details regarding the nature of the property and the charges are yet to be disclosed as investigations continue.
