Sri Lanka, March 15 -- Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath announced that a delegation from the European Union is set to visit Sri Lanka next week to evaluate the country's compliance with the conditions of the GSP+ tax concessions.

Speaking in Parliament today (15), Herath emphasized the significance of the review, as the GSP+ scheme provides Sri Lanka with preferential access to EU markets.

Additionally, the minister confirmed that the Sri Lankan Embassy in Cyprus will be opened soon, further strengthening the country's diplomatic presence abroad.
