Srilanka, March 26 -- transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation Minister and House Leader Bimal Ratnayake has been elected as the Sri Lanka-China Parliamentary Friendship Association's Chair for the Tenth Parliament. The election took place under the chairmanship of Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne at Parliament on Friday (21), marking the re-establishment of the Association.

Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong was the Chief Guest. MP Lakmali Hemachandra was elected as the Association's Secretary.
