Srilanka, April 16 -- The government has decided to officially publish key elephant migration routes in the Gazette, according to Deputy Minister of Environment Anton Jayakody.

As an initial step, four major elephant corridors-primarily located in the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa districts-will be gazetted.

Deputy Minister Jayakody stated that this move is aimed at mitigating the ongoing human-elephant conflict by recognizing and protecting traditional elephant pathways.
