Sri Lanka, March 20 -- The political landscape is increasingly becoming heated after talks of elections started doing the rounds both in mainstream and social media these days. The Presidential Election is anyway scheduled for later this year in terms of the constitutional provisions. In the meantime, speculation is rife about a snap general election after Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) stalwart Basil Rajapaksa proposed such a snap election ahead of the Presidential Election.
