Sri Lanka, April 12 -- Eight Sri Lankans rescued from the cyber slave camp in Myanmar were handed over to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Bangkok for repatriation yesterday (11).

According to the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Myanmar Janaka Bandara, this group of victims will be repatriated through the Sri Lankan Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, within the next few days.

After being rescued from the slave camp, the eight Sri Lankans were detained by the Myawaddy Police in Myanmar until they were released to the authorities in the Sri Lankan Mission in Myanmar.
