Sri Lanka, Dec. 20 -- An eight-hour water supply interruption will affect Colombo and several surrounding areas today (20), the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced.

The interruption will take place from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. due to wayleave clearing work carried out by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), according to the NWSDB.

Areas scheduled to experience the water cut include Colombo 01 to 15, as well as Battaramulla, Palawatta, Hokandara, Koswatta, Thalawathugoda, Kotte, Rajagiriya, Mirihana, Madiwela, Nugegoda and Nawala.

Water supply will also be disrupted in Kolonnawa, IDH, Kotikawatta, Angoda, Wallampitiya and Orugodawatta, along with Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Dehiwala, Moratuwa and Soyzapura.
