Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Ministry Secretary Nalaka Kaluwewa, stated that the Sri Lankan school system will shift to a learning-centered education model, focusing more on providing practical knowledge and skills to students following the new education reforms.
Speaking at a press briefing held yesterday (6) at the Ministry of Education, Kaluwewa explained that the new reforms will be introduced for students entering Grade 1 and Grade 6 in the year 2026. He noted that this marks the beginning of a long-term transformation in the education sector.
