Sri Lanka, Jan. 23 -- The Export Development Board (EDB) of Sri Lanka hosted an orientation programme on January16, 2026 for the newly appointed Heads of Sri Lanka Missions overseas, aimed at strengthening collaboration in promoting the country's exports.

The programme provided an overview of Sri Lanka's export landscape, strategic priorities, and the role of Missions in supporting trade and investment promotion initiatives. The session began with welcome remarks from Mangala Wijesinghe, Chairman and CEO of the EDB, followed by self-introductions from the Heads of Missions. Senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, and the EDB also participated in the discussions.
