Srilanka, May 28 -- Former Minister Duminda Dissanayake, who was initially admitted to the prison hospital following a court order, has now been transferred to the Magazine Prison.

According to Prison Media Spokesperson Gamini B. Dissanayake, the former minister was discharged from the hospital and remanded to Magazine Prison after being examined by a specialist doctor.

Dissanayake was arrested last Friday after authorities discovered a gold-plated T-56 assault rifle in an apartment complex in Wellawatte. He was subsequently produced in court and remanded.
