Sri Lanka, Dec. 5 -- The National Transport Commission (NTC) has taken disciplinary action against the Monaragala-Colombo bus that recently plunged into floodwaters in the Kumbukkana area, putting passengers' lives at risk.

The bus owner and crew were summoned to appear before the NTC on Wednesday.

Following the investigation, the commission decided to suspend the bus's road permit for two weeks.

Additionally, the conductor and driver have been suspended from service for one month as part of the disciplinary measures.
